Why the Bug?

The bug series of equipment was developed over a short period of time specifically with the wine and spirits industry in mind.

A unique range of equipment developed with all the short comings of existing equipment in mind, the Bug can truly be described as a machine designed by the wine industry for the wine industry.

Our range includes a 24kW and 48kW high pressure machine with barrel cleaning programs and a tank heater for malolactic fermentation control.

From the outset the equipment was designed to withstand the harsh environment of cellars and distilleries and always perform at their optimum.

Living up to its name the Bug range boasts with a protective shell of high quality stainless steel that makes it almost indestructible.

Unique Modular service program

Based upon experience, the down time on any machine is very critical to all industries due to the multi functional use of the equipment.

The Modular service system requires us to keep a spare power pack (complete internal workings) on the shelf and should you require assistance, we will simply bring our spare power pack and replace it with your existing one.

We will repair your power pack and only bill you for the repairs. This will then become our spare power pack.

The down time will then only be travelling time to your domain.

This will also ensure that our products in the field will stay current and be upgraded continuously.

Ergonomics

A machine specifically designed with the basic ergonomics of human beings in mind, it operates with a high degree of user friendly options including:

  • Low centre of gravity designed to negotiate steep angles
  • Self adjusting suspension to clear small objects on floors such as stones, electrical cables, strip drains and gratings
  • Quick coupling fittings to all hoses to eliminate any tools for connecting and disconnecting and damaging of threads.
  • Wide wheel base for stability when being moved on equal terrain

Safety

Safety features are built in to our equipment to protect both the user and the machine.

  • To ensure a safe use of the machine in wet conditions the cabinet can not be opened to expose any electrical wiring and switch gear
  • A clear and easy to use control panel has been designed with specific instructions and warnings
  • The body of the machine has been contoured over the control panel for protection and ease of use
  • Pressure safety valves, non flow switches, overflow pipe work and temperature probes have all been incorporated to ensure no damage to pump, motor and heating elements

Quality

Stainless steel, having proven itself over and over as the only “real” solution in this environment, are almost continuously used during construction.
